WAS YOUR GRANDFATHERED DOCK DESTROYED?? YOU NEED TO COMPLETE THE DEP PERMIT BEFORE CONTACTING CODE ENFORCEMENT OFFICER.

It is the goal of the Code Enforcement Officer to keep the Town and its residents safe.  This can cover a range of requirements.  Making sure newly constructed homes are safe for families to live in and grow.  Making sure new business is both safe and accessible to the public.  

Duties include permitting of any new structure in the Town of Rome, inspection of buildings, septic system installations, plumbing & shoreland zoning projects. 

Office hours are  Monday and Wednesday 9am-5pm.

Appointments are encouraged.  

BUILDING PERMITS APPLICATIONS AND PAPERWORK MUST BE DROPPED OFF OR MAILED IN WITH PAYMENT, EMAILS ARE NOT ACCEPTED.
